  • Kaziranga National Park. A great way to spot the famous inhabitants of Kaziranga National Park is from the sun deck of your boat. Opened in 1904, the park is home to two-thirds of the world’s endangered Indian one-horned rhinoceros population and has the highest density of tigers in the world. You might also spot elephants, swamp deer and wild water buffalo. Kaziranga is also home a wide variety of forest, grasses and flora, and various species of inhabitant and migrating birds
  • Experience the local way of life. A visit to Majuli Island, the world’s largest river island gives you the chance to see traditional village life amongst the resident native tribes. Elsewhere, you can see the villagers producing various handicrafts outside their houses on handlooms or fishing in the hamlets and villages along the way.
  • Time for tea. Trying a cup of freshly brewed Assam tea is a must! Take a trip to a tea garden or tea plantation where you can see workers in green fields picking the leaves and buds, or a tea factory to observe the process of making this delectable beverage.
