Bandipur Reserve

Spread over 874 km, Bandipur National Park was established as a Tiger Reserve in 1974 under Project Tiger. The 14th Century Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple offers views from the highest peak of the reserve which is committed to protecting endangered species of animals such as Indian elephants, vulnerable tigers and wild boar. Bandipur Reserve forms part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve along with the adjoining Nagarhole National Park, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary and Mudumalai National Park forming the largest protected area and habitat in India.

If you would like to visit Bandipur Reserve, why not consider the South India Bird Watching Tour? but please remember all our private tours are designed to meet your exact requirements, and the tours mentioned above are just examples.
