Arrive in Paro and wind your way to Thimphu, Bhutan’s peaceful capital, nestled among forested hills. Stop along the way at Tamchog Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple reached by a swaying iron-chain bridge crafted by a legendary saint.
In Thimphu, admire the giant Buddha Dordenma, explore the Folk Heritage Museum, and watch artisans perfect traditional crafts at the School of Traditional Arts. Join locals at the National Memorial Chorten, and browse markets rich with handwoven textiles and handmade crafts.

On Day 12, embark on an unforgettable hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery). This sacred cliffside temple clings to sheer granite 900m above the valley. The trail winds through pine forests and fluttering prayer flags, with rewarding views at every turn.
Day 13 is free for local exploration. Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, or join your guide for a walk through the nearby villages.
