Arrive in Colombo and transfer to the peaceful Horathapola Estate near Negombo. Set amidst coconut groves and paddy fields, this restored colonial bungalow offers a gentle introduction to Sri Lanka’s countryside. Spend the afternoon at leisure, strolling through the gardens, relaxing by the pool, or sampling traditional cuisine made with fresh, locally grown produce.

Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka

After breakfast, journey north to Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s largest and one of its oldest national parks. Spend two days exploring its quiet forest tracks and shimmering natural lakes on guided game drives with an expert naturalist. Wilpattu is home to elephants, leopards, sloth bears, and a wealth of birdlife, offering a sense of untamed wilderness.
