Trek through the Valley of Flowers, visit the small colourful monastery, or simply take a deep breath and relax as you absorb the stunning surroundings.

  • Lachung Gompa – Just across the Lachung Chu river lies Lachung Monastery, perched high on a hill and framed by glorious apple orchards. This small but colourful monastery dates back to the early eighteenth century and hosts a famous mask dance each year at the end of December. Inside you’ll find exquisite murals, a two-storey prayer hall that features a porch with twin metal dragons and two heavy prayer wheels, and a statue of Guru Padmasambhava, one of the founding fathers of Tibetan Buddhism
  • Yumthang Valley (Valley of Flowers), If you enjoy breath taking and magical scenery, an excursion to Yumthang Valley, known as the Valley of Flowers, will be a real treat. This picturesque nature sanctuary offers spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, an abundance of flowers, hot springs and grazing yaks, as well as the gorgeous Teesta River winding its way through the lush meadows
