Pangong Lake - Ladakh

Discover the captivating Pangong Lake

Pangong Lake (Tibetan for “High Grassland Lake”) will leave you breathless with its myriad of  colours. The lake is 4300 metres above sea level, around 150km long and two-thirds of it lies in Tibet. While away the hours just gazing across the water or enjoying a walk around the shore.

The lake is home to birds including the Bar-headed goose and Brahmini ducks, along with Schizopygopsis Stoliczkai (an Asian cyprinid freshwater fish also known as False Osman) and Racoma Labiatae fish.

The lake is especially magical at sunrise and sunset if timings permit.
