Things to do in Khajuraho

  • Visit the Khajuraho Group of Monuments. Famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and erotic sculptures, the Khajuraho Group of Monuments were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela dynasty. The Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is one of only 20 remaining temples from the 85 built, and is adorned with intricate sculptures considered to be some of India’s greatest art masterpieces.
  • Go wildlifespotting in Panna National Park. The Park is home to a multitude of creatures, including tigers, leopards, chital, nilgai and sloth bears. It was previously a tiger reserve but famously lost it inhabitants die to poaching, but thanks to a repopulation programme there are now tigers in residence once again
