Built around 1885 by Thakur Jait Singh Ji of Mandawa for a residence during his visit to the court of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the Dera Madawa is now run by his great grandson, whose family act as hosts. This tranquil residence has peaceful gardens and a central courtyard, acting as the main social space.
There are plenty of opportunities for al fresco dining for your continental or India breakfast, and set menu lunch and dinner, and a restaurant if you’d prefer to eat indoors. There are just 11 suites in total, and these are set over two floors, giving you plenty of living (and sleeping) space. Cosy corners, swings and awnings provide the perfect opportunities for chilling out with a book.
