Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is the ideal destination to observe our feathered friends of all varieties. The sanctuary is spread over 40 acres, a relatively small area that holds an incredibly high density of birds.
Take a boat ride along the river and islets to see birds swooping overhead and watch the wildlife whilst you let the beautiful scenery sink in.
Shake your tail feathers
The Sanctuary attracts over 200 species of birds, including migratory visitors from Australia, North America and Siberia. Most commonly seen are species such as Egrets, Herons, Painted Storks, Spoonbills or the Woolly Necked Stork.
There’s a menagerie of mammals to catch a glimpse of, including flying foxes, wild otters and even marsh crocodiles!
